Andrew Scott - Physiotherapist and CAPE NZ Director
Andrew graduated from Otago Polytechnic in 1989 and has since worked in both the UK and US before joining Mark in founding CAPE Physio in New Zealand. In 2001 Andrew completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine and uses this knowledge for many different sports from IHL Hockey to Rugby.
With now over 30 years’ experience in Physiotherapy Andrew has dedicated himself in treating people with musculoskeletal injuries and ensuring general health.
Outside of the clinic Andrew enjoys spending his time with his wife and three adult children, playing golf and going to the gym.
Rebecca van Rooyen - Physiotherapist and CAPE NZ Director
Becs graduated in 2013 from the University of Otago with Credit. She has vast experience as a sports physio. This experience is boosted with a Post Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy, endorsed in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Becs also has completed a Post Graduate study in Mulligan Therapy and is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner.
She has also done further training in advanced pelvic assessment and treatment. Becs is passionate about the human body and returning it to full function.
Jono Whitley - Physiotherapist and Havelock North Director
After graduating from AUT in late 2016, Jono moved down to the Hawkes Bay and started working for CAPE Physio. Jono is qualified to practice dry needling on patients, he was taught by Trevor Montgomery, in association with PAANZ.
Jono enjoys playing sport and spending time with family and friends.
Sharn Waerea - Physiotherapist
Sharn graduated from Otago University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
He grew up in Te Awanga / Clive, Hawke’s Bay before heading to Dunedin to begin his studies. Sharn is excited for his new journey with CAPE, and is looking forward to giving back to the community from which he grew up in.
Outside of the clinic Sharn is a keen golfer, enjoys spending time with whanau and friends, going to the gym and enjoys all things outdoors.
Sharn is also qualified to practice dry needling on patients.
Tom Wright - Physiotherapist
Tom graduated from AUT in 2023 and made Hawke's Bay home to be closer to family. He keeps busy on the winter weekends being Physio for the Havelock North Rugby Club prem team.
In his downtime, Tom is all about staying active, whether that’s hitting the gym, going off-road in his 4-wheel drive, or camping out in the wild. And of course, he loves spending time with his loyal pup, Maggie who’s always up for an adventure.

Michael McCamish – Physiotherapist and Hastings Director
Michael has over 12 years of experience in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, and Sports Physiotherapy. He has worked with Hastings Boys High School first XV since 2013.
Craig Harrington - Physiotherapist
Craig graduated from the Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, Scotland) in 2007. Craig moved to the Hawke’s Bay and worked at the hospital setting in multiple areas which include; acute inpatients, outpatient musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiac, orthopaedic, surgical, and vestibular settings for more than 10 years. Craig is now currently focusing part time on musculoskeletal injuries working under the McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment, and physiotherapy concussion management.
Judy Brown - Physiotherapist and Havelock North Director
Judy graduated from University of Otago in 2016 endorsed with credit. She's worked three years in Musculoskeletal practice where she had the privilege to sport physio for Hawkes bay hockey. She's passionate about incorporating physiotherapy into functional rehab to help the individual back to sports or their previous function.
In her spare time, Judy plays club netball in Super 8 and dabbles in tennis.
Shahrukh Mehtab - Physiotherapist
Shahrukh graduated in 2008 and now has 16 years’ experience as a Musculoskeletal physio in clinical and teaching fields. He’s completed a degree in Post Professional Doctor of physical Therapy and a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. He also holds an international certification in medical teaching and uses this knowledge assisting physiotherapy students.
With all his skills and knowledge, he dedicates himself in treating people with musculoskeletal injuries and passionate to improve the quality of life for the people who are struggling with normal body functions.
Luke Garvan - Physiotherapist
Luke, originally from Melbourne, Australia, obtained his physiotherapy degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2017, following a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy in Melbourne in 2012. Luke has spent seven years in Auckland's Musculoskeletal Private Practice sector, where his clientele includes a diverse array of professionals. These include renowned teams such as the All Blacks, New Zealand Warriors, and Auckland Blues, as well as local club teams like GTEC Rugby and Eastern Suburbs Football, and school teams such as Sacred Heart College. Luke is a certified Western Acupuncturist, earning his credentials through a Post Graduate Certificate program at AUT in 2019. He also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy at the Otago School of Physiotherapy in 2022. Luke is currently working as the Central Districts Stags Physiotherapist and is looking forward to returning to clinical practice during the upcoming winter months. In his spare time, you will see him running the roads of Havelock North or playing golf on the amazing Hastings/Bridge Pa course.
Adam McDonald - Physiotherapist
Adam was born and raised in Hastings and graduated in 2007 and has now worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for 15 years. He then continued his studies and completed a master’s degree in 2021. Adam has a keen interest in injury prevention and providing education and advice.

Justin Mills - Physiotherapist and CAPE NZ Director
Graduated 2001 from Auckland. His keen interest in sports and manual therapy has seen him working both locally with basketball and rugby to international sports and athletics fixtures throughout the South Pacific.
He has been competing in adventure racing and endurance running since 2015.
Lachlan Maxwell - Physiotherapist
Lachlan graduated AUT at the end of 2024 with a Bachelor in Health Science (Physiotherapy)
Lachlan grew up within Hawke’s Bay before heading to AUT to begin his studies. He is excited for his upcoming future within the CAPE community and on the rugby field. Lachlan will be working as a Physio alongside the Taradale Rugby and Sports club for the upcoming winter seasons.
Outside of the clinic Lachie is a keen runner and enjoys getting involved in triathlons and all things outdoors.

Candace Wheatley - Physiotherapist and CAPE NZ Director
Candace graduated from Otago University in 2012, then went on to further study through Otago to graduate with a Masters of Physiotherapy endorsed with Sports Physiotherapy. She is trained to teach Polestar Mat Pilates. She is also qualified to practice dry needling on patients, she was taught as part of her Masters in Physiotherapy - Endorsed in Sports Physiotherapy. Candace is the rugby coordinator and HR for CAPE.
Tamara Marshall - Physiotherapist
Tamara graduated from Otago university in 2024 with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Tamara was born and raised in Wellsford and made the big move to Hawkes Bay to continue her passion in MSK and Sport physiotherapy. Tamara will be working along side Marist for the upcoming 2025 season.
In Tamara's spare time you will find her at the gym, running or camping at the beach in her converted van.
Sophie Martin - Physiotherapist and Taradale Director
Sophie grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Manawatu, before heading to Otago to study Physiotherapy. She graduated from University of Otago in 2018 and now enjoying the warmth of the sunny Hawkes Bay. She is currently studying towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy, and is also the physio for Napier Pirates Rugby. She’s also an umpire for Hawkes Bay Netball in her spare time.
Sophie is qualified to practice dry needling on patients, she was taught by Trevor Montgomery, in association with PAANZ.

Mitch Hohaia - Physiotherapist
Mitch graduated at the end of 2023 from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Mitch grew up on the North Shore of Auckland until end of high school and then called Whangamata home where he was heavily involved with lifeguarding at the local beach. He then moved to Hawkes Bay in 2023 for his final year of study and enjoyed what the bay had to offer and decided to stay.
During hours outside of work hours, you’ll find Mitch training in one of three things: swimming, biking or running. Mitch also helps the local HNHS school develop their water-polo program.

David Kerr - Physiotherapist And Flaxmere Director
David graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2008, he moved to Hawkes Bay to work for CAPE Physio in 2009. His main area of expertise involving the diagnosis, management and prevention of acute sporting injuries. He has been involved with many local sports teams, as well as providing his expertise to the HB Magpies development team in 2009 and the HB Maori rugby representative team in 2012.
Rachelle Edwards - Physiotherapist
Rachelle grew up in Dunedin and graduated from the University of Otago in 1998. After graduating she worked in Ashburton and Blenheim hospitals before moving into private practice.
She has worked for club and representative rugby teams in Mid Canterbury and Marlborough. Rachelle completed a post graduate diploma in Health Science majoring in musculoskeletal management in 2006, After a short time in private practice in Coromandel Rachelle moved to Napier and began working for CAPE in 2009. Rachelle has worked in all the Hawkes Bay clinics between having time off to have her family.
